My boyfriend's ex band was a cover band for AC/DC. They were great at it, but he quit becaue he was tried of playing only AC/DC songs & that's the only thing everyone else wanted to play. A cover band is great if you want to play at local bars & clubs, but it won't get you famous. People always wants to hear new originals & not other people's songs.

well we all know Papa Roach make covers sound amazingly awesome, but some othere covers by different bands that i love are:

Metallica - Turn the Page (Bob Seger)
Metallica - Whiskey in the Jar (Thin Lizzy)
Metallica - Remember Tomorrow (Iron Maiden)
ok well all of Metallicas covers kickass i'll just say that instead of naming them cuz theres alot lol
i love when Adam Gontier covers Rooster (Alice in Chains) and Black (Pearl Jam) during live shows they sound amazing : )

Seether - Careless Whisper (Wham!)
Godsmack - Thunder Kiss 65 (White Zombie)
Framing Hanley - Lollipop (w/e his name is lol) they made it pretty alright for a rap song
Korn - One (Metallica)

damn i cant even remember the rest i know abunch too >.< hate it when that happens....

i really like korns cover of another brick in the wall
by pink floyd, i think they did a great job putting their own style
into it.
lostprophets davidian cover was good too.
i love metallica covers too ^^
