Nov 27

personally i love them, and as of recently im going to see them in july
im aware that most people here prefer hard rock/metal, so if your not a fan then thats fair enough
but if you are a fan then speak up :D

    LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!
& Im so glad they were touring with
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, who is My Cousin's fave band EVER. She has never been to any concerts before her visit with me from July-August.
It was MUCHO exciting in the first place coz we NEVER MET FACE TO FACE IN OUR ENTIRE LIVES!
(Talk about a Summer of FIRSTS! HUH?)
Well, July 13th, we went to
KID ROCK & SHERYL CROW. I adore him. He's a musical hero to me & she was most def impressed.
July 30th was a show called
KROCKATHON. (WOULD HAVE BEEN MY 3rd SICK PUPPIES SHOW, but we had unaccountable delays.)
    But we still caught
HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD (my 2nd time; I really like them, she wasn't impressed.)
DROPKICK MURPHY'S (also my 2nd time) who we both LOVED!!! THEY KICK ASS!!! & They were introduced by SHIM MOORE of SICK PUPPIES, so at least I got some pix!
BUSH Yes! BUSH! They were just as amazing as ever, & ....
    SEETHER!!!!!
OMG SEETHER KICKED SO MUCH ASS I HAD NOT A CARE IN THE WORLD AT THIS POINT. STOOD RIGHT UNDER ALL THE CROWDSURFERS TAKIN PICTURES & SHIT. HURT LIKE HELL BUT IT HURT SO GOOD!!!
Some guy asked if I wanted to start up a mosh pit too. Im like Dude, I don't even do what I'm doing right now. This shit is seriously killing my back.
I think it was my pink mohawk that threw him off. I was tryin to keep people from gettin dropped, but I'm disabled. I was tryin to keep my cousin from gettin smooshed too. Guess my motherly instincts just kicked in.
I assume she loved it too. But if not OH WELL.
Felt like I went downhill skiin for the next three days. OUCH!
Last but not least was the
Honda Civic Tour with MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE & BLINK 182 on August 12.
This was the last day of my cousin's visit too, as I had to take her strait from the show to the airport.
So as exciting as it was, it was also sad. In the beginning I was so amped up, & then a couple songs I couldn't help but cry; just a little bit. Not fangirl tears; tears of family I can't embrace because they are gone. Love lost over disputes that are a complete mystery to us. Things we will never know. & Being a stranger to my very few kin. Very emotional.
It's not like I fell apart, I held my composure; but it was very emotional & music has a way of striking those nerves in just such a way you can't hold back. Knowing how much this band (MCR) meant to my cousin, & the fact that she helped me REALLY tap in (I already LIKED them, but she taught me SO MUCH BEYOND the everyday exposure, it now holds new meaning for me) & that they were here at the very same time as her visit & it was a FIRST for both of us. & A couple of the songs REAL EMOTIONAL have some meaning with our family.
    but BLINK...
    BLINK 182
& me go WAYYYYY back LOL.
My 1st Blink show was in 1998. After that night I had to go back & find my ticket stub coz I was just not sure when it was. I know I loved them since DAMMIT. OMG the 1998 was a smash & the Honda Civic Tour Show was OFF THE FUCKEN CHAIN!!!!!
BLINK I FUCKIN LOVE U WITH ALL MY LITTLE NO GOOD HEART. xoxo
bonus: I read in Jacoby's Blog that Tony Palermo is from UNWRITTEN LAW.
UNWRITTEN LAW is the band that opened for BLINK 182 the night of my 1998 show.
BUT... I guess Tony didn't join them until like 2004. Oh wellz. I still thought it was kewl.
