Question about tattoo "fonts"?

Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 6:16 AM by Lalalaaaaaa!

Okay, so..

I've recently decided to get another tattoo, and I've been tossing a few ideas around, and I think I've finally decided on some lyrics:

"Half the time the world is ending
Truth is I am done pretending"

from "Love Remains The Same" by Gavin Rossdale.

I want it in a cursive "font", but nothing too complex, and can be easily read even if it's kind of small, because I want it on my arm (down towards my wrist). I was trying to find something I liked, but I can't. If anyone knows a website or whatever that has samples or something and could let me know, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you! :D

I'm really glad you asked this because (as everyone who bothers to follow me on twitter will be aware) i've been asking everyone this question about the ideas I have.( I just haven't posted anything on here because i'm still in the decision process) it will be really interesting and appreciated if people who have tattoos or ideas on this font issue to post them here !

In response to the first post, I remember someone telling me not to think of the writing as a font but as a tattoo. I don't know what they fully mean by that but yeah... anyone who can shed any light on what they might mean by that please help haha. x

Why don't you ask the people at the parlour? I'm sure they'd have plenty to choose from.

working at a tattoo shop myself, I know that they should have some fonts there for you to choose from.

and if they dont? go to a different shop, because script is one thing a shop needs to be prepared for.

    thanks, you guys. :)

thing is, I'm not going to a shop. A friend of the family is doing it, and I like being prepared and having a.. rough draft, if you will, ready. :)

No problem. I like the Wrexham Script a lot, might use it for my next tat.

be careful about just picking a random font. I've done that before and they wouldn't tattoo me with it because of how it would look years after having it...a lot of fonts might look cool but will turn into a big blob down the road
