i never got an email that gave me a time for the VIP's for either date, just conformation that i bought them.

should i be worried that my name may not be on the list if i didn't get it??

i'm definitely expecting having problems at the Filmore :P i hope things get worked out a little better by the Detroit show.

I never got an email that said what time the check in was, and it wasn't online because we looked from the venue. The only way I even knew to be there at 2:30 was because I saw the post on the forum about the VIP that said for every VIP be there at 2:30.

But I still think it was worth it. It was awesome. The only part that sucked was the people not having the Papa Roach list and we had to sit around all nervous for 20 minutes wondering if we'd get to get our tickets in time.

And the early let in confusion... but that was lack of communication. The venue staff seemed to kind of be wandering around with no idea what was going on and their heads up their ass. But hey.

    It was fucking awesome regardless.

i didnt read the entire thread i just saw someone wanted me to come back and leave details.

id say be there by 1 to claim your stuff and start your own line.
someone from the pr fam came out about 2 and divided vip from ga.
but the venue i attended was a pain in the ass.
the venue was more unorganized than pr themselves.
id say as far as pr is concerned, they were as organized as they could be for it being the first u.s date.
i imagine it to be alot smoother as the tour continues.
because of the disorganization, the sound check didnt start until 4p when it was scheduled at 330.
which pushed back the entire night.
meet and greet was pretty rad.
    more personal than expected.
as far as the show goes, it was AMAZING as usual, but i was a bit bummed out they only played an hour without an encore.

I was VIP in Berlin on the Europe tour. And I have got to say... We didn't have half the problems you guys had!
Yeah, the soundcheck got delayed, but we wasn't rushing or anything. All people where nice and friendly... And the "VIP guy", Justin, was really helpful!

At the soundcheck we where about 2-3 meters from the stage and having fun with the band, and the venue was very clean.

Also the meet&greet was awesome and PRoach was crazy as usual :D

Hope for everyone that the VIP will be better!

Have you tried to call Ground Ctrl? They helped us out at the venue when we were waiting to get let in. Someone else from the boards (i didnt catch his name) called them while we were there.

Just want to post another reminder,

You may not receive your email until as late as 48 hours prior to your show date, this is due to the nature of the production schedule. Plan on being at the venue several hours before doors, but keep an eye on your email for the final time. If your show is LESS than 48 hours away and you HAVE NOT received an email that is when it is time to call. Otherwise the exact time may not have been set yet.

Our office phones have not been up and running for several years without interruption, I do not know why you may have gotten a disconnected message, rest assured though nothing shady is happening between ground(ctrl) and Papa Roach's fans. As many people in the forums and the community can tell you I have personally been involved with the band for over a decade and we care very much about your experience at the VIPs and within the site. Everything is on the up & up.

Thank you for all your feedback, we are looking into how we can implement some changes to better resolve or prevent some of these issues.

Today will be my 2nd VIP on this tour. The first was last Thursday in Flint. I have received emails for both shows indicating time, including one for Thursday that the guys were running late and it wouldn't take place until 4:30 pm.

I think the only problem we'll have today at The Fillmore in Detroit is that the Detroit Lions are playing right across the street so parking may be at a premium. I plan on getting down there early to give me plenty of time.

For those that may not have gotten their email, here is the info for the 11/1 VIP in Detroit that I received Saturday afternoon:

    Papa Roach VIP Experience 2009:
    November 1, 2009
    Detroit, MI

Check-in: Please arrive no later than 2:30 pm and meet in Box Office lobby. You will pick up your special VIP access laminates here.

Sound Check: Will take place shortly after check-in.

Meet and Greet: Directly following soundcheck.

I was at the VIP on Monday the 9th in Baltimore. Our meet and greet started at 3pm and did not end until 7pm. We were still waiting in line to meet the band when they let everyone else in. The soundcheck was unbelievable and getting to meet the guys was even better. Tony and Tobin are kinda quiet, but Jacoby and Jerry seemed very excited to meet everyone. I got great hugs, and my friends didn't-HA!!! We did not receive a poster or an answer if they were going to send us on or not. I agree with what the other posts say that it is extremely unorganized and very frustrating. You cannot have a drink through all this and usually have to sit on the dirty venue floor while waiting. Was it worth it you may ask.....ABSOLUTELY! Having the boys next to you is worth everything in the world. They are so nice and even hotter than expected up close. Have fun and tell the boys Kelly says hi. Hopefully next time around they will let volunteer fans run these things. I am interested if anyone is listening.
