I am going to sign up for a 5K run in March. I did it last year, but I walkt cause I got back from Washington DC the night before. That is another blog! I have mapped out and even drove to get the exact mileage of 2 routes in my neighborhood. I walkt this afternoon almost the entire way. It took me 30 minutes to walk a mile and half. I am going to try to do this at least 3 times a week. Besides the run, I have hit a solid brick wall w/ losing weight. I am trying a few other things w/ my diet but walking will help. And the air is good for u and the weather is very nice right now.
