Popping the P. Roach Cherry
Back in 2007, my sister talked me into going to see Papa Roach at one of the local radio station shows in our area. At the time, I knew a few of their songs from the radio, but that was really it. Then I saw P. Roach live and I was hooked. The energy, the sound, the amazing musicianship. Since then, I've bought the CDs, gone to every show that has come to the area, and am absolutely enamored with these 4 guys from Cali and their amazing music.
So yesterday, I had the opportunity to pass my admiration for this amazing band onto one of my friends. She's not typically a rock girl, but since I had hyped up P. Roach so much she tagged along. After Jacoby left the crowd and the band walked off the stage, she turned to me and said "I get it. I get why you like them so much." She was also taken in by the same high energy, sound, and music that I was 2 years ago. And as we were walking back to the car after the show, having seen not only Papa Roach, but Nickelback, Hinder, and Saving Abel, she said the other bands were good, but Papa Roach made the show worth going to.
Just wanted to share how much this group of 4 guys singing and playing their hearts out every show means to their fans - whether it be ones that have been around for awhile or those that are just really tuning in for the first time.
