Ok, now we get to the good stuff :)
This was ssooo much better than the first film, Michael Bay was obviously more comfortable with the characters and wasn't afraid to take the camera into the action. Some amazing sets - Egypt was awesome and the final fight on the pyramid with Optimus Prime and the Fallen was short but oh so very sweet.

The new bots introduced didn't clutter up the film either. Standout new bots for me were Jetfire, Wheelie, the twins (Skids and Mudflap - couldn't help be fell on some level they were being a bit stereotypical/racist with these two) and Arcee (even if it was brief), I had a feeling Jetfire would work really well and I was right, and him combining with Optimus was a very nice touch. Once again Bumblebee stole the show, he still has voice box problems but all the sound effects really put his emotions across - after the scene with Sam being attacked by transformed appliances was very cute.

Decepticons were kicking ass in this film - there was loads more Megatron/Scarscream tension and fighting which was cool and Devastator is sooo impressive - a little joke is made on his behalf by Simmons as he makes a call on the pyramid. The Fallen himself could have been in it more and could have made a bit more of an impression. Ravage was cool to finally see and died rather nicely via spine rip by Bumblebee.

Sam and Mikaela are having relationship problems as Sam goes to College and neither have said the 'L' word to each other yet - obviously that changes by the end of the film and in a rather dramatic way - Sam's death then resurrection by the Primes. To be honest this time around it felt as if the humans take a back seat, its all about the bots. It was nice to have the comic relief in the form of Sam's parents and his college roommate - look out for the taser scene in the Smithsoian.

Still the biggest shock to me was Prime's early death - though it was rumoured I didn't see it happening so soon into the film. Though he was resurrected it didn't stop me missing him for a while. I liked the fact that NEST was created and their intro seen in Shanghai with Demolisher would have been a bit more memorable if we hadn't have seen it already on the trailer - I think alot of the stuff would have been more impressive had it been left off the trailer. There were parts where it felt a bit cheesy but what do you expect from a blockbuster popcorn movie.

All in all go and see it - hopefully I'm going again 2morra :)

I got the feeling that Skids and Mudflap were in there for the younger viewers - they were okay but I would have prefered to see more of Arcee or the other autobots. I thought you would like the megatron/scarscream parts - that was defo missing from the first film.

I almost cried at Prime's death, Jetfire's sacrifice and the whole senario with Sam and Mikalea - my mate jabbed me in the arm and gave me a look that said 'I know you want to cry but for the love of god don't!!' Bumblebee in the garage was sooo cute and I loved Wheelie with the whole 'warrior goddess' thing made me laugh. The pretender thing (I think she was called Alice) was a bit WTF? but was rather hilarious.

I wanted to sit and listen to new divide in the credits but my mate was desperate for the ladies room - I blame the refillable drinks!
