I've been stabbed in the back by people I trusted, and emotionally hurt too many times to count, and my only salvation was Papa Roach. Their music literally saved my life, and I'll never be able to repay them for that...

On another note, their music has allowed me to make new friends, seeing as I'm usually very shy. It's easy to get to know someone if they can understand what's important to you. I've also started writting lyrics, I'm still new to it, so they aren't the best. I hope to be in a band like Papa Roach one day, but as of right now it's hard to find anyone at my school who 1) plays an instrument and 2) actually likes rock music. I've been playing guitar for about two years now, and although I'm not perfect yet, it always make me feel better when I can just lock myself in my room and play something that I know will relate to my situation that day.

And I know that I've got some of the best friends on Earth because they've been with me through everything. I trust them with my life, and compared to that, surviving teenage drama with them by my side is nothing. One of my "brothers" is always encouraging when it comes to my writing, even when I think something isn't right, or doesn't fit, he tells me that I'm getting better, or that he really does enjoy the lyrics. One of my "sisters" is perhaps the of the most random, yet trustworthy, people I know. She can make me laugh on my darkest day, or just be their to let me cry on her shoulder. We've become amazing friends, in just two years. It's almost unbelievable. I would never let them down, and I would never do anything that could hurt any of them.

Music is my life, as I'm sure is the same for many people on this site. I can only imagine the stories that some of you may have, stories of a new beginning, friendship, depression, anger, love, pain, we all know that the possibilities are endless. I hope to get to know as many people as I can, because I intend to give up being antisocial, and I'm starting by meeting people who are some of the most dedicated fans on Earth.

And to the members of Papa Roach, I can only thank you for simply being who you are.
