Standing there in the darkness of the night,
Nothing to do and not a word said.
You try to think of where you went wrong,
But nothing comes to mind.

Everyone has been feeding you these lies,
And you accept them.
As if they were the truth.
You tell them your darkest secrets, thinking you can trust them
And that they won’t tell.
But realistically, you can’t even trust yourself!

Everyone hurt you, but you can’t stay away,
Now you’re addicted to the pain.
“It’ll get better,” is what they say.
When you know damn well, it’s here to stay.
