Linkin Park's new single..
Absolutely... Hate it. And for me to say that hurts like a bitch and is UNBELIEVABLY out of character but I'm not going to lie. I feel they've abandoned us hardcore fans and it's really hard on me.
No substance. Techno. Repeated lyrics I can't begin to even relate to. Mike's singing, the affects on the vocals.. that horrible synth beat... good lord where to begin.
I'm not asking for Hybrid Theory Part 3 or Meteora Part 2. Just the band that stopped me from ending it all back.

I posted this in response to people hating on those people who don't like it:
I'm tired of fans saying if you don't like their new song then you're not a true fan and I'm tired of people saying stop complaining. Every fan has the right to an honest opinion based on the fact people like me have been down since day 1 and have seen Linkin Park progress over the past ten years. I really wanted to like this song but I don't because it's got none of the elements about them I previously like and that's not their fault because if that's the direction they've chosen to take I'll support them.
Just because some of us don't like the new song doesn't mean we're not gonna continue supporting them cos I for one am going to keep supporting them and always will. Part of being a fan doesn't mean you have to love EVERYTHING a band does. I'm not going to sit here and say 'Oh I love the song blah blah cos i'm a hard core linkin park fan' because i don't love it.
And because some of us way prefer their older stuff doesn't mean we're stuck in 2003 wanting hybrid theory part three or meteora part 2 because with most of us that is NOT the case. there's nothing wrong with LP changing, just some of their newer sounds won't cater for people like me have grown up to enjoy heavier music which Linkin Park aren't any more! There's nothing we can do about that so hey... either way, if you like it fantastic, enjoy, if you don't then hey... that's nobody's fault.

But I'll always support them. And maybe they'll change their style again, who knows?
And I think there's no reason to love all the songs as a real fan. I dislike some PR songs, I disklike some LP songs. Doesn't matter if you're really into a band.
